  1. Get 1 cup toor dal
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup chana dal

  7. Prepare 1 tbsp Cumin seeds

Heat a tava or thick bottomed griddle. take a ladle of the batter. Pour the batter on the tava and spread the batter in a round circular portion with the ladle.   1. Take a pressure cooker and add all the soaked lentils together in it
  2. Add 2cups of water and salt as per your taste.
  3. Mix it well and give 3-4 whistles to it.
  4. Open the lid and you will find the lentils are boiled.
  5. Now take a kadai and heat butter to it.
  6. Add cumin seeds to it.
  7. Once the oil is heated add sliced onions to it.
  8. Fry the onions until it turns to golden brown.
  9. Add ginger garlic paste to it.
  10. Add green chillies to it.
  11. Mix it well.
  12. Now add tomato puree to it.
  13. Cook it for few minutes.
  14. Now add jeera powder, turmeric powder,red chilliy powder and garam masala to it.
  15. Mix it all well
  16. Now cook the masala mixture until it separates oil from it.
  17. U can also add salt as per your taste bcz once salt it already added while boiling the lentils.
  18. Now after few minutes add the boiled lentils to the masala mixture.
  19. Cook it for another 2-3 minutes so that the lentils soaks the masala texture into it.
  20. U can also give the tadka or red chillies. It's upto you.
  21. Garnish it with coriander leaves and fresh cream in to the top.
  22. Step 20 and 21 is completely optional.
  23. Serve it hot with rice and chapati.
  24. Note–All the lentils to be soaked for 4-5 hours
