- Clean all the dals.
- Wash and soak in water for 20 minutes.
- Add soaked dal in pressure cooker, add few drops of oil, turmeric pwder, salt, asafoetida and pressure cook it.

- Heat ghee kadhai add cumin seeds,asafoetida, bay leaf, dry red chillies,add finely chopped onion and saute it.add garlic paste, green chillies and tomato.
- Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli pwder, garam masala and cook it till tomatoes gets soft.
- Add cooked dal.
- Add cumin and coriander pwder and let it boil. (1-2boils).Add butter in dal off the flame add lemon juice and serve it hot with chapati or rice.
