The ingredients needed to make Rasiya:
  1. Prepare 1 litre full fat milk 1 cup rice 2 tablespoon ghee 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder (optional) 3/4 cup jaggery
  2. Prepare 1 tablespoon chopped almonds 1 tablespoon chopped cashew nuts 1 tablespoon chopped pistachio and About 20 raisins

Instructions to make Rasiya:
  1. Wash rice and soak for at least 1/2 an hour.
  2. In a mixture coarsely grind the rice.
  3. In a pan add ghee and roast dry fruits - almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio and raisins. - Once the nuts are roasted add the coarsely ground rice. Stir rice for a minute or so until ghee is coated. Add milk and let the rice simmer and allow the rice to be cooked. Keep stirring rice.
  4. In a pan add jaggery and half cup water and bring it to boil
  5. Once rice is half cooked, add jaggery water and continue cooking.Cook until rasiya thickens. Add cardamom powder, ginger powder and dry fruits.
  6. Garnish with nuts and saffron.
