Steps to make Bajra(pearl millet) khichdi:
  1. Wash bajra(pearl millet) 2-3times and leave it wet for 6-7hrs.
  2. Grind it coarsely. Wash the dal and rice properly and soak them for 1hr.
  3. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom wok, add cumin seeds. Let them crackle. Once done, add turmeric powder and salt. Add water to it and give it a nice boil. Once the water starts boiling, add rice and moong dal. Cook for 5-10mins and then add grounded bajra(pearl millet) to it…
  4. Cook till bajra and dal rice are soft and mushy. It takes around half hour to cook. Add more water if required.
  5. Serve hot with a dollop of ghee and hot milk.
