- Take For paneer pakoda:–
- Take cornflour
- Prepare maida/all purpose flour
- Take Garlic paste

Here I have used cottage cheese/paneer to make this quick indo chinese variation. In a typical Chilli Paneer recipe, the fried paneer cubes are tossed in a sweet, sour, spicy sauce. The dry version of chilli paneer is served as a starter or appetizer snack. There are two types of chilli paneer that are popular in India - the dry version which is served as an appetizer and the gravy version which is eaten as a main course with rice or noodles.
Steps to make Chilli paneer gravy:
- Firstly, in a large mixing bowl add 1/4 cup corn flour,1/4 cup maida, 1/4 tsp pepper, ½ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste.
- Add 1/4 cup water and prepare batter.
- Prepare a smooth, lump free and flowing consistency batter.
- Further dip cubes of paneer / cottage cheese into batter and coat.
- Deep fry in hot oil stirring occasionally.
- Fry the paneer till they turn golden and crisp.
- Drain off the fried paneer onto a kitchen paper and keep aside.
- Prepare the the gravy by heating 4 tsp oil and saute 2 cloves garlic.
- Also add 2 tbsp spring onion, 2 tbsp onion and 2 green chilli. saute well.
- Furthermore add 1 capsicum (green & red) or green only and saute slightly.
- Additionally, add 2 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp chilli sauce, 1/4 tsp pepper and 1/4 tsp salt.here add 1 tsp sugar or tomato ketchup according to taste.
- Saute on high flame till the sauce thickens.
- Now prepare corn flour water by dissolving 1 tbsp corn flour in 2-3 tbsp water and after that add 1 cup water.
- Pour the corn flour water and stir continuously till the gravy thickens and turns glossy.
- Turn off the flame and add in fried paneer. mix well till the paneer gets coated well with gravy.
- Finally, serve chilli paneer gravy recipe garnished with some sesame seeds.
