- Add boiled and mashed dal, salt and water according to the consistency you want.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Now for making baingan bharta, heat oil in a pan..add jeera and whole spices, onion, garlic, green chilli and grated ginger..cook for few minutes or till the onion turns golden brown.
- Then add in all the spices and chopped tomato.
- Cook till tomato gets soft and oil starts seperating the sides of masala.
- Then add methi leaves, mashed baingan and salt.
- Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot hot dal baati baingan bharta along with pickle and some salad.
