- Deep fry in hot clarified butter and let it cool

- For dal soak all pulses for 1/2 hour
- Put it in a cooker with 2 cup water,salt,turmeric powder,clove and cardamom.
- Close the lid and cook for 3 whistles
- Open the cooker and mash dal with a wooden masher
- Heat clarified butter in a wok and add cumin seeds,dry red chilli and green chilli
- Add onion and ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 minutes
- Add boiled dal and other spices and mix well
- Boil for 5 minutes and switch off the flame
- For baati add all ingredients in a bowl and knead a hard dough
- Make small balls from the dough and smear clarified butter
- Put on the baking tray and bake for 25 minutes on 180°
- Take out baati from the oven and dip into melted clarified butter
- Serve hot baati with dal and churma.
