- Get 1 tsp haldi powder

- Take 2 tbsp desi ghee
- Make ready 4 laung
- Prepare 3 tsp zeera powder(cumin)
- Make ready 3 Dry red chilli, 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes

- Wash dal mix & strain it.
- Take a pressure cooker, add dal, hing, salt, haldi powder & oil.

- Give 4 whistles, now lower the flame & cook it for 15 - 20 minutes.
- Let it cool down, open the lid, stir dal nicely. Take out in a serving bowl, keep aside.
- Take a pan, add ghee, heat it.
- Add laung & zeera, let it splutter.
- Add dry red chilli (halves) & red chilli flakes. Do not over cook it.
- Pour tadka directly over dal.
- Serve it with Roti or Rice.
