  6. Add the spices stirring up to prevent burning,add peanut butter to the above mixture
  7. Add the boiled bananas to the above mixture
  8. Cook for a few minutes on low-medium heat
  9. Serve with beans/beef or solo

This Kenyan recipe also shows a south Asian influence. The chili was a Serrano and I only used half and probably should have used the other half. Matoke is one of the Traditional main dishes in south western Kenya to the Kisii community which consists of steamed green bananas.
