Grease the idli plates with oil. Keep a roasted cashew in each of the idli plate and pour the rava idli batter in each plate. Serve the hot Rava Idli (Rawa Idly) Instant Rava Idli with Sambar, Chutney.
Steps to make Plate Rawa Idli:
- In mixing bowl add semolina and whisk curd. Mix well.
- In small tadka pan add heat oil. Add urad dal and saute till pinkish. Add mustard seeds as splutter add curry leaves, cashewnuts halves,saute till pinkish. Add to semolina- curd batter mix. Mix well.
- Add chopped green chillies,grated ginger,salt. Mix well.
- In big vessel fill it with 2-3 glasses of water. Place stand in it. On the flame. Grease 4" round steel plate. Add eno in rawa idli batter. Mix well. Pour in 2-3 laddleful of prepared rawa idli batter grease plate. Place on stand kept in water filled vessel. Cover and steam for 10-12 minutes.
- Stand for few minutes. Remove in prepared plate rawa idlis in serving plate. Similarly prepare plate rawa idli with remaining batter.
- Serve/ Relish Delicious Hot Plate rawa idli with hot sambhar, coconut chutney and podi powder.
Grease Idli molds (plates) with oil. Add Eno fruit salt in batter and stir for a minute. Instant rawa idli is ready, serve with coconut chutney. Tips and Variations Rawa Idli is a variation of the normal idlis. They are made with rawa or sooji.
