  1. Wash and soak barley overnight. Next day discard the water from soaked barley. Grind this soaked barley with little water to make smooth mixture.
  2. In kadhai heat oil,add urad Dal,chanaDal and mustard seeds,saute till pinkish in colour. Add rawa and saute for 3-4 mins on slow flame. Cool this mixture.
  3. In mixing bowl add cooled rawamix, barley paste and whisked curd..mix well. Add salt and chopped chilli pieces,1/4 cup water to make batter.Grease idli moulds with oil.
  4. Add enough to prepare barley- rawa batter.Mix well. Pour a laddleful of batter in grease idli moulds. Steam for 10 mins in cooker.(Without whistle).
  5. Serve hot delicious Barley Rawa Idlis with coconut chutney.
