Steps to make Theeyal:
- Method: - - 1. Soak tamarind in warm water minimum 20 min. Squeeze the juice and keep aside. - - 2.Boil water and add yam and drumstick and cook till done 75% - - 3. Dry roast and grind all the ingredients into smooth paste by adding little amount of water under the topic "To Grind". Keep this aside. - - 4. Now heat 2 tbsp of gingelly oil in kadai add mustard. Once it temper add curry leaves and onion. - - 5. Once onion done add brinjal and cook half.

- Now add the ground paste saute a bit. Now add the tamarind juice, salt and water. Bring this to boil. Once it starts to boil add yam and drumstick. Close and cook for 5 minutes. - - 7. Open the lid now and cook untill gravy get thicker. - - 8. Adjust salt and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice and papad.
