- Prepare 250 g cottage cheese Home made

- Get 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder

- Prepare 1/4 cup water
It goes well with chapatis or rotis. The recipe shared here is Punjabi aloo paneer. Aloo Matar Paneer has lot of variations. However chosen my own variation as usual.
Instructions to make Aloo Matar Paneer:
- Peel and boil potatoes for around 10 minutes half time, till potatoes are 1/2 done. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till lightly browned. Then add crushed ginger and garlic for a minute then add cut onions. Turn down to medium heat and stir fry for 2 minutes until light brown. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Cut tomatoes in small pieces and add to fry. Turn heat very low, stir occasionally, cook about 10 minutes till tomatoes get mushy.
- Cut thin batons of potatoes and add to fry. Sauté till lightly browned, stirring frequently. Add salt.
- Now add the green peas and mix. Cover and cook till the vegetables are done.
- Cut Paneer in to small cubes and add. Add about ¼ cup water and Kasuri methi. Mix well. Let simmer for around 5-8 minutes.
- Lastly add the garam masala powder and serve hot with Chapati or Paratha.
This Aloo Matar Paneer has tomato puree, almond paste and made in Indian spices. Add cup of water and stir until water mixed in. This delicious aloo matar paneer curry also goes well with tandoori roti or plain naan or butter naan. Aloo matar paneer couples very well with any Indian bread like parantha, roti, poori, phulka or even naan and tandoori roti. Paneer dishes are quite popular among the vegetarians.
