- In a pot over medium heat, heat small amount of oil; add grounded beef and stir fry for 2-3mins
- Add spices, a little water, seasoning and stir; cover pot and allow to cook for 3-5mins
- Add scotch bonnets, spring onions and onions; cook for 2mins
- Add capsicum and cover the pot for a minute
- Add corn flour if it is runny
- Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely
- For the dough;
- In a large mixing bowl, sift flour and add all other dry ingredients; mix well
- Add butter and mix
- Add water little by little, knead the dough till you make a thick elastic dough
- Knead again and cover the bowl with plastic wrap; leave it for 15-20mins
- Divide dough into medium portion balls.
- Dust flour and roll the ball into circle
- Use a round cookie cutter/stainless steel cup/sharp - corner round glass and cut into disc
- Place the dough on a meatpie cutter; add fillings and press
- Transfer to a tray and repeat process with the remaining dough
- Heat oil in a deep pan, fry the meatpie on a medium flame till done
- Drain and transfer to a paper lined tray to cool completely
