Aloo chaat or alu chaat is a street food originating from the Indian subcontinent, it is popular in North India, West Bengal in Eastern India, Pakistan and also in parts of Sylhet Division of Bangladesh.
Instructions to make Aloo ki jalebi chaat:
- Make a paste by mixing small pieces of potato in the mixer grinder adding curd and 3tbsp of water. Take out the paste in a bowl and add ¼ cup rice flour and make the batter by hand for 5 minutes
- Add 1 cup Maida to the batter and mix. Also add some water to dilute the batter. Keep the batter to rest for 20 minutes. Mix the batter again for 5 minutes and add salt red chilli and baking soda to it.
- Now keep the oil in a pan for heating to fry the jalebi. Fill the batter in a piping bag and make a small hole in it. When oil is medium hot than make jalebi in round shape, keep the flame medium.
- When Jalebi turn spot and brown from the bottom side turn the Jalebi with tong. Let Jalebi cook from both side until golden brown, take it out in a plate when from both sides
- Now I chaat masala, lemon juice, curd, green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney to jalebi. Hot Jalebi chaat is ready. You can Garnish it with your choice and enjoy it
