  3. In the same bowl marinate the chicken pieces with curd, lemon juice,1 tbsp salt, ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp red chilli powder, pepper corn powder and set aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cloves, green cardamom, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick. Add onion and green chillies,pinch salt and saute till onion is translucent.
  5. Add tomato paste, coriander powder, remaining chilli powder, pinch of salt and cook correctly for 4 minutes on high flame.
  6. Add marinated chicken,chopped coriander leaves,1/2 cup water and mix well.Cover and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add garam masala, kasuri methi, salt if required and mix well.Cover and cook for 1 more minute.
  8. Serve hot.
