Pork Shogayaki (豚の生姜焼き; buta no shogayaki) is a dish in Japanese cuisine. Shōga (生姜) means ginger, and yaki (焼き) means grill or fry. It can also be made with beef, but the pork version is so much more popular that the term "shogayaki" generally refers only to pork in Japan. Pressure Cook Ginger Pork: Add the sliced pork shoulder meat with all the meat juice in the pressure cooker.

Instructions to make Ginger Pork:
  1. Remove excess fat from pork if you desire, and pond with a tenderiser/the back of a knife/a beer bottle(last one is from my mum, but still I'm not sure she was kidding or not). Set aside.
  2. Peel and chop ginger and onion. Put in your food processor. Add olive oil, sake and soy sauce. Whizz until it gets smooth about 1 min.
  3. Pour ginger mixture over pork. Marinate them for 30 mins to overnight in fridge. As a meal prep, you can freeze them now😊
  4. Heat your frying pan on medium low heat and put your pork. Cover and cook through like 4 mins each side.
  5. Pour the rest of the sauce in your pan and boil it.
  6. Pour the sauce over your pork. Serve warm!
