- Prepare small part of banana stem thinly sliced
- Get small radish chopped

Cover and cook till the banana stem is cooked well but not mushy. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the vegetable from sticking or burning. The banana stem is not a true stem. It is actually a pseudostem made out of leaf sheaths. Add sambar powder and continue to simmer for.
