Spinach dal can me made using lot of lentils. Like you can make it with masoor dal (red lentils) or with chana dal. My reicpes uses toor/arhar dal and moong dal. Once the seeds start crackling, add chopped garlic and green chili.

- Firstly cook toor dal by adding a pinch of turmeric and one teaspoon oil in a cooker and beat it until it gets mashed completely,and keep it aside.
- Then cook Red spinach in a pot and temper it with mustard seeds, asafoetida and methi seeds.
- Then mix the Red spinach with dal and add sambhar powder, salt and stir it untill it combines well with dal.
- Now the dal is ready to serve,it combines well with rice or roti !!!
